Education
NYGFOA offers many educational programs throughout the year designed to help you at any stage of your career. Join your colleagues at the Annual Conference, regional seminars, statewide training programs, and webinars. Learn about innovations in the field, gain technical know-how, and keep up-to-date on what you need to know to succeed in government finance. These events also provide a great opportunity to network with other finance professionals.
Education is offered in core functional areas of government financial management, including accounting, auditing, budgeting, and cash and debt management, as well as broader management areas, such as human resources, labor negotiations, and internal controls. Programs are taught by peers, for peers, illustrated by real on-the-job examples, as well as by seasoned, expert professionals from the industries that support the government finance profession.
NYGFOA is an approved sponsor with the NYS Education Department to provide courses that qualify for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit.
